HISTORY
It's now been more than 40 years since Paul Van Doren introduced his simple canvas sneakers to Southern California in 1966. Little did he know at the time, but it would only be a few short years before surfers and skaters adopted the shoes as their own. With a sticky waffle grip perfect for skateboarding, skaters literally exported Vans around the world via their boards. Today, we make sure that sticky grip remains, but our shoes are just as commonly found in boutiques in Paris or Berlin as your local skate park. Vans – truly "Off the Wall Since '66."
